Two boys have been accused of the murder of 17-year-old Folajimi Orebiyi in Notting Hill on Sunday, 3 July.

A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old boys will appear in custody at Hammersmith Youth Court accused of murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Thursday, 7 July.

The boys were remanded in custody to appear at The Old Bailey on Monday, 11 July. Folajimi Orebiyi, was knifed in the neck outside a Notting Hill estate on Sunday at about 20:45 BST, witnesses told police. The 17-year-old then fled along Portobello Road but collapsed. An air ambulance was called but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Met said the boys (suspects) are being held in custody in a London police station.

Liam Semugabi, who was a friend of Folajimi, told BBC London News the teenager, from Kensington and Chelsea, “studied hard at school and had a great future ahead of him”.
