‘Time, the ultimate truth teller,’ Katy Perry tweeted this week after Calvin Harris’ Twitter rant calling out his ex Taylor Swift for credit for his new song This Is What I Came For.

And on Thursday another former Swift collaborator recalled how he, too, had been ‘undercut’ by the pop superstar when she was an ambitious 11-year-old.
FoxNews.com reporter Cody Derespina clearly hasn’t ‘shaken off’ the experience in which the budding star ‘ripped down a series of pictures of me’ after they performed together in a youth theatre production of the musical Bye Bye Birdie.

She was ambitious: Fox News reporter Cody Derespina shared a photo of himself aged 14 starring with an 11-year-old Taylor Swift in a production of Bye Bye Birdie and said Swift didn't like having to share the spotlight

‘The year was 2001. I was 14 at the time and Swift did not like me in the least (nor I her), but the character she played in a Berks Youth Theater version of “Bye Bye Birdie” was in love with the character I played,’ Derespina wrote in an article posted on FoxNews.com.
‘She was the established star of the group and I was a newcomer,’ he explained.
‘Swift didn’t seem to enjoy sharing the spotlight……. and, after one performance, Swift ripped down a series of pictures of me, crumpled them and threw them against a wall.’

He wrote: ‘It doesn’t seem as if Swift has changed all that much from her days of ripping down my photos. Only now, she’s become famous for ripping her various ex-boyfriends in songs after their breakups.’ ‘So don’t feel too bad, Calvin. I’ve been there,’ he concluded.

Not a good week for Swift: The reporter's revelations come as Scottish DJ Calvin Harris who dated Swift for 18 months went on an angry Twitter rant accusing the Bad Blood singer of trying to 'bury him like Katy Perry'

Harris, 32, accused Swift, 26, of trying to tear him down and said he refused to let her ‘bury’ him like Katy Perry, after her team confirmed she had written the lyrics to his latest track that features Rihanna.

He tweeted on Wednesday: ‘I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.’ ‘Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.’ He continued: ‘I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.’ ‘I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.’

Swift and Harris dated for 18 months before splitting. And a mere two weeks later the Bad Blood singer went public with her new romance with actor Tom Hiddleston.
