A young mum was on Thursday blown into the road by Storm Doris leading to an accident that claimed her life.
The 32-year old woman was on her way to pick up her kid from a nearby child-minder when the wind blew her into the path of a moving road-sweeper vehicle.
The tragic incident occurred at about 4.30pm in Swindon. By the time the south west ambulance service got to the scene, the woman had already been confirmed dead.
Eye witnesses at the scene lamented the incident, describing it as most ‘tragic and terrible’.
One of the eyewitnesses reported that the single mum was pushing an empty pram to go pick up her child when the violent wind ‘picked her up, and blew her into the road’.
