An eight-man shortlist for post of Rwanda coach has been unveiled, with Samson Siasia and Winfried Schafer toping the list.

Siasia, former Nigeria coach, led Nigeria to Olympic football bronze in 2016 while Schafer led Cameroon to the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations title.

Making the list also are Belgian Paul Put, who led Burkina Faso to the 2013 Nations Cup final, and Georges Leekens, who left job as Algeria coach last month.

The Rwandan Football Federation cut its choices down from 52 applicants.

Rwanda have been left without a permanent coach since Northern Irishman Jonny McKinstry was relived of his duties in August 2016.
