SHAKIRA is allegedly being blackmailed over the release of an intimate video between herself and her husband Gerard Pique. The tape, which is said to show the couple “engaged in sexual acts”, is reported to be on the verge of hitting the net after a former employee has begun shopping it to multiple outlets.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Vasco, the ex-worker is demanding cash from Shakira in order to keep the tape under wraps.
However, a source close to the star said “This is a very random report and completely untrue.”
Shakira met her football hubby after he featured in her music video for single Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), the 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem. The couple now have two sons, 11-month old Sasha and two-year-old Milan.
While reports are unconfirmed, if the ex-employee is found guilty of blackmail, they could land with up to five years behind bars.
The singer isn’t the first star to have been reported to have recorded her sexual antics. Former X Factor judge Tulisa managed to get an injunction against a video of her and an ex-boyfriend partaking in oral sex.
While back in 2003, Colin Farrell filed a lawsuit against his former girlfriend Nicole Narain and Internet Commerce Group for distributing his own 13-minute sex tape.
