A 15-year old boy was arrested last night Tuesday, 5 July on suspicion of murder of Folajimi Orebiyi. He was taken into custody at a central London police station where he remains.
Two 16-year-old males Black and Caucasian were arrested on Monday, 4 July on suspicion of murder. Black has since been bailed to return on a date to be confirmed, Caucasian remains in custody at a central London police station.
A 15-year-old boy also arrested on Monday, 4 July, on suspicion of murder also remains in custody at a central London police station. Detectives continue to appeal for information and witnesses following the murder. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 20:45hrs on Sunday, 3 July, to Portobello Road, W11, following reports of a teenage boy who had been stabbed.
Officers attended the scene and immediately administered first aid and CPR. London’s Air Ambulance were called and arrived a short time later but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although formal identification has yet to take place detectives are satisfied that the deceased is 17-year-old Folajimi Orebiyi (20.02.99) from Kensington and Chelsea. His next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination took place on Tuesday, 5 July, at Westminster Mortuary. Cause of death was given as a stab wound.
Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating led by Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith.
