NICKI Minaj is known for speaking her mind. Straight talking Nicki Minaj is known for not beating around the bush
Nicki Minaj has invested in an anonymous messaging app, And now she’s made that even easier by backing a new anonymous texting app. The 33-year-old isn’t the only famous name to support the app, either. Will.I.Am, David Guetta, Tiesto, Avicii and (super randomly) Benny Andersson from ABBA are among the people who have invested.
The app called Blindspot allows users to communicate with anyone in their contact list without revealing their identity. Which seems bizarre to us, but we’ll go along with it. It is designed for “real” conversations between people you already know and is supposed to be fun to use.
Parents might worry these anonymous exchanges which can be text, voice notes, pictures or videos could be damaging. It does scream “anonymous cyberbullying”, right? But users can block others whenever they want, and if someone is blocked three times they are banned from the app.
Co-founders of Blindspot have said: “Most users want to flirt, play jokes on friends or share secretive information they would otherwise be scared to reveal. “There’s so much fake comment on social media – it can be like an airbrushed version of life. “We want people to have fun, and most of all we want people to be real with one another.”
Obviously the developers will only say good things about their product. But whether it blows up or just becomes a seedy sexting method is yet to be clear.
