A governor in one of Nigeria’s oil producing states may soon be in soup as his America-based mistress hijacked stolen $10m belonging to the state.
The fund is said to be part of the bail out fund given to the state to clear backlog of salaries owed workers in the state.
The governor had contacted his mistress to help launder the funds into his account in the United States, the mistress however, wired the money into her own personal account in the United States. Sources privy to the matter said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC is on the of the stolen funds.
