A senator from Ondo State, Omoyele Omogunwa, on Wednesday asked the Nigeria Senate to legalize corruption in the country.

Speaking at the plenary session of the upper legislative chamber on the debate on the 2017 budget, Senator Omogunwa noted that corruption has engulfed the nation and should be “legalised”According to the Sunshine State Senator stated that even the nation’s judiciary and anti-corruption bodies were being plagued by corruption. He further stated that if corruption was legalized, citizens who stole the nation’s funds would use them in building factories and industries in the country, instead of having them kept away outside the country.
