Arsene Wenger will NOT rest Alexis Sanchez despite admitting that he has had a hamstring problem. Sanchez, who played the full 90 minutes of Arsenal’s win over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night, has been complaining of a muscle problem in the past few days.
But with fixtures coming thick and fast, Wenger does not want to leave his star player out of his line-up, even if it will risk further injury.
He said: “I will assess that later. It might not be the right time to rest him.”
The Gunners travel to Norwich on Saturday as they sit in fourth place in the Premier League table, but just two points from the top. It is not all doom and gloom for Arsenal on the injury front, as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make his return at Carrow Road.
Wenger said: “Everyone who played Tuesday is available. Oxlade-Chambelain could be available. “He has another big hurdle to get across today and hopefully he can be successful. “Maybe Oxlade-Chamberlain should be back in the squad [for Sunday]. “Theo Walcott not for Sunday, he goes through a few steps.
